GRANTS MANAGER B
Duties: Provide pre- and post- award research and financial administration support for individual investigators within the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Responsible for managing $15M grant portfolio of several faculty members which include multi-center grants, and sub-contracts. Prepare proposal budgets, monitor grant expenditures for compliance, monitor financial activities, produce specialized financial reports, financial planning for individual faculty portfolios, liaison to the Perelman School of Medicine's Research Support Services and to the University's Office of Research Services. Serve as a resource for the Faculty related to the NIH FCOI process and monitor HIPAA compliance. Prepare annual sponsored programs budgets. Grants Manager will work independently and will actively participate in specific projects, including the annual budget submission. Reports to the senior administrator within department and has a dotted reporting line to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting and 5-7 years of grant and contract administration or accounting/business administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Strong proficiency in spreadsheet and database programs; experience in University financial and research administration accounting systems preferred. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A strong knowledge of and demonstrated competency with compliance issues related to the management of both federal and non-federal sponsored research including industry sponsored research.
