The Department of Mathematics and Physics invites applications for a faculty position in applied statistics/data analytics. The position involves teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on interests and skills; preference will be given to those with ability to teach business analytics courses. The opportunity also exists to serve as program director for the newly developed M.S. in Applied Statistics and Analytics. Currently, the department has 11 full-time faculty members. In addition to the new master's program, the department also has a new undergraduate minor in applied statistics and offers several general education courses including Introduction to Statistics.


Teach courses, develop new courses and possibly direct programs in statistics or related fields, maintain an active research program involving students, mentor and advise students, and participate in department and university affairs. Engage in ongoing professional development (e.g., seminars and conferences) to stay current with cutting-edge methodologies.

Level: Open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor)


    A Ph.D. in statistics or a related discipline OR an M.S. with substantial professional experience in statistics or business analytics Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence. An interest in helping students to integrate their faith and their studies.

Workload: Full-time preferred, but part-time options are available
