Minimum Education/Experience: A terminal degree from an accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Appropriate fields include, but are not limited to, Industrial Technology, Technology Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Industrial/Engineering Management, or a closely related field augmented with relevant IDIS experience. ABD candidates will be considered, however applicants need to complete their terminal degree within 1 year of hire date. Candidates should have a commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment.

Job Duties: The College of Engineering and Technology at East Carolina University is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in our ATMAE Accredited program in Industrial Distribution and Logistics (IDIS). The major teaching and research responsibilities will focus on the wholesale distribution channel, transportation industry, and global supply chain. Faculty members are expected to provide leadership in developing, teaching, and maintaining curriculum in both the graduate and undergraduate programs using both traditional and distance delivery methods. They are also expected to pursue externally funded research projects and to publish their research in peer reviewed publications. Faculty members are also expected to provide service to the program, department, university, community, the profession, and be actively involved with outreach to industry.
