The University of Virginia seeks multiple recruiters to join their Academic Talent Recruitment team supporting the schools and administrative and operational business units. Incumbents are responsible for working jointly with colleagues to identify, source, and hire talent for assigned university-related searches. Recruiters oversee a portfolio of searches, provide guidance on best practices for hiring officials from point of application to offer completion, and ensures a positive candidate experience. We are seeking both staff and faculty recruiters.
Please note that Recruiter positions are a one year term limited position that carry full-benefits.
A Bachelor's degree is required. Three years of relevant professional experience establishing strong working relationships, practicing clear communication, and prioritizing and organizing multiple and competing priorities are required. Experience as a recruiter and with applicant tracking systems are strongly preferred. A demonstrated commitment to partnership and service with teammates and customers is required. The ability to work effectively with diverse people, as well as independently when necessary is essential. Must possess strong problem solving skills to thoughtfully and tactfully navigate barriers to work and relationships. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality is also required. Finally, candidates must have working knowledge of or ability to learn quickly Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
