Job Description:

SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for responding to student and program inquiries on behalf of the Transfer Center. Coordinates all student appointments and meetings between Transfer Specialists and University partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responds to incoming phone calls on behalf of the Transfer Center

• Provides support with student tracking and retention

• Responsible for the scheduling of all student meetings with a transfer counselor and/or university representative

• Develops and maintains relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

• Sustains good communication and positive working relationships with all individuals across the campus and off-campus guests visiting the department

• Works cooperatively to accommodate the needs of the Transfer Specialist, students, and four-year university representatives

• Coordinates the maintenance and servicing of the department's equipment

• Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

• Associate's degree in a related field

o Significant related experience may substitute for education

• Minimum of two years of demonstrated professional customer service and administration experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Possess basic knowledge of administrative support concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

• Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access

• Basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint

• Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

• Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

• Works accurately with great attention to detail

• Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment with limited supervision

• Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
