RESEARCH TRAINING SPECIALIST
Duties: The primary responsibility for this position is to assist in providing IACUC required species specific hands on training for scientists or others who care for or use laboratory animals at the University of Pennsylvania. This position will also be responsible for preparing training materials and supplies, scheduling and coordinating all IACUC-required species-specific hands-on labs, documenting the completion of these courses in Penn's Learning Management System, providing exceptional custom service, and ensuring that all required information is effectively presented to those who attend classes. This position will also provide special techniques training, assist in providing specific departmental staff training, assist in the organization of all shared training resources for ULAR staff, assist in maintaining training animal colony, assist in maintaining/ordering training supplies, assist in educational events or initiatives, and other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Qualifications: An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalant and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
