Summary of Duties:
The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University in Pullman, WA invites applications for a full-time, 9-month academic year, Clinical Assistant Professor position in Communication and Society. Appointment begins August 16, 2018.

Successful candidates will be expected to advise undergraduate students and serve as a liaison with the professional community and other outside constituents.

Requirements for the Communication and Society include:

  • Oversight of the Murrow College's Public Speaking in a Digital Age course; this will include teaching large lecture sections, supervising teaching assistants, and developing curriculum.
  • Management of the College's assessment activities,
  • Teaching in one or more of the Department of Communication and Society's three majors (Risk and Crisis Communication, Science Communication, and Communication Technology),
  • Completing research and/or creative scholarly work, and
  • Performing service functions within the profession, college, and university

    The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication will not sponsor work visa for this position.

    Required Qualifications:
    Professional (clinical) candidates will have earned a master’s degree before the date of hire with at least three years of professional experience related to the position.
