The Center for Health Policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy seeks applications to fulfill the duties of a full-time Senior Research Specialist.
The position requires collaboration between the principal investigator(s) to develop research projects, administer policy studies/analysis in the lab and in field settings, and conduct data analysis of large and small data sets.
Required qualifications include a terminal degree or Master's degree and at least five years of specialized experience. Experience in lab administration and data analysis regarding health care and/or health economics is also required.
The preferred candidate will have experience in Big Data analysis, Federal, State and Regional Policies regarding Health Care, Health Economics, Health Systems and Delivery Models. Strong Quantitative Analytic skills and experience are core competencies. Demonstrated grant-writing training and experience are required.
The incumbent will provide training and supervision to undergraduate research assistants, and coordinate data collection. Further, the incumbent will supervise and mentor Graduate Research Assistants and other Research Specialists. This position will be involved with data preparation and basic and advanced analysis, and will help build an active participant pool for research studies, and collaborate in study design and preparation. This position will be responsible for Center administration tasks: helping to order equipment, supervise research group meetings, and meet with the principal investigators and graduate students weekly about progress and goal-setting.
