Posting Summary:
The School of Architecture is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Grants and Contracts Administrator, responsible for all pre-award activities for the school. The successful applicant will manage grant proposal preparation and submission in compliance with sponsor and institutional policies and guidelines. Responsibilities include advising faculty on long-term financial viability given multiple grants and contracts from various sources with differing project end dates. The administrator will locate and identify sources of outside funding and manage all aspects of the development of complex proposals and awards. Will interpret guidelines, terms, and conditions, and provide advice accordingly. Will coordinate with the post-award financial manager on grant maintenance.

Candidates must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of grants and contracts. Ability to advise team on the implementation and modification of technological components of grants and contracts. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret information for University leaders. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Knowledge of UVA policies and procedures, and experience with federal grants is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree and up to four years' experience with grants and contracts administration is required. Five or more years' experience with grants administration may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree. Certification as a Research Administrator (CRA) is preferred.
