The primary responsibilities of the Research Technician will be to maintain mammalian cell lines, and to create new lines through use of CRISPr/Cas9-mediated genome editing sh/siRNA technologies, and stable expression of cDNAs. Assist Project leaders in performing lab experiments. Additional responsibilities include meticulous record keeping and presentation of data using Powerpoint.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's Degree in Basic Science and classroom laboratory experience to include
experience with cell culture techniques. Effective organizational skills required.
Effective skills at the bench, enthusiasm for science, and ability to work as a member of a team required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with CRISPr/Cas9 and sh/siRNA technologies, as well as western blotting, and molecular cloning, is preferable.
