DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Duties: The Director of Student Accounts, within Student Registration and Financial Services, reports to the University Bursar. The position is responsible for managing student account and billing operations for 23,000+ students, greater than $1.5 Billion annually. The position is responsible for student payments, financial aid disbursements and refunds, and third-party student billing, in compliance with applicable guidelines. The position also supports maintenance of the Banner accounts receivable module as well as our integrated TouchNet payment processes. This position works closely with the University's Office of Budget and Management Analysis, Division of Finance staff, and school and department finance staff members, The position provides reports and data to Student Registration and Financial Services management as well as schools and departments. The Director of Student Accounts and student accounts staff members provide customer service and support to the University community, as well as external agencies.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience in accounts and billing or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience with automated accounting system and e-payment products required; Banner AR and TouchNet experience preferred Excellent communication, management and problem solving skills. Must possess working knowledge of Department of Education Title IV Regulations. Excellent presentation skills including effective written and oral communication.
