Lamar State College-Orange invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor for Computer Science/Information Technology.  Lamar State College-Orange (LSC-O) is a two-year state supported college in Orange, Texas.  The campus is located in the southeast corner of Texas, near the Louisiana border and 100 miles east of Houston.  LSC-O has a current enrollment of approximately 2,600 students, and offers technical, academic, and public service programs. This is a non-tenure-track position to provide quality and innovative instruction in teach students computer skills, hardware, cyber-security, programming languages; visual basic, Java, HTML, etc., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint software.

Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 hours in the teaching discipline). Teaching credentials and experience in a second academic discipline a plus. Candidate must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Candidate must comply with established Lamar State College-Orange standards and policies.

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
