The College of Professional Studies and Advancement at National Louis University seeks qualified professionals for adjunct faculty assignments teaching online, undergraduate Art courses in our General Education Program. This course provides a basic introduction to visual art. Students learn to analyze the formal structure and principles of design used in works of art, become familiar with processes and tools involved in art creation, and are introduced to pertinent themes in visual art. Emphasis is placed on learning how to look at a wide variety of works of art, gaining a visual art vocabulary, and examining the relationship between form and content.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
Master’s degree; and 18 semester credit hours in Art History, Art, Art Education, Design, Fine Arts, Studio Art, or closely related field.
*Previous teaching experience is required; online teaching experience is also required.
