Position Summary: This Applications Analyst position at the Journey level provides SAS programming services to fulfill needs of the CSCC's SPIROMICS and ATN (Adolescent Trials Network) projects. Programming is done in response to written computing requests and involves sophisticated data management programming, producing complicated tables and graphs, and running statistical analyses. Work is performed under direction of a study's lead programmer or study project manager or the center's statistical computing manager. Study computing needs might diversity beyond SAS in the future to entail use of R or Python.

Education Requirements: *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or *Bachelor's degree and some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; or *Associate's degree in Computer Programming and one year of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *Journey level requires an additional one year of experience.

Qualification and Experience: At least two years of professional work experience in SAS programming for statistical applications. Excellent SAS DATA step and SAS macro facility programming skills. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently with general guidelines and little supervision as well as in a collaborative team environment working with strict development requirements and guidelines.
