The Department of History at Florida State University invites applications for a two-year (two consecutive nine-month contracts), full-time, non-tenure-track, non-renewable position at the rank of Postdoctoral Associate. The position carries a teaching load of two courses per semester—one large survey as well as a smaller lecture course or undergraduate seminar. History of the United States (topical and chronological fields are open), with a preference for candidates whose research and teaching will complement the department’s existing strengths in legal history, cultural history, gender and sexuality studies, or U.S. and the World.
Ph.D. required and must be in hand at time of appointment.
