The Office of Research at Florida State University seeks to fill the position of Instructional Designer to support the office and its reporting units.
The Instructional Designer, Office of Research designs and develops educational modules and related educational, organizational, and communication materials in support of the administrative aspects related to the conduct of research at Florida State University. The position will design online tools to assist FSU researchers and staff in the administration of research related activities. The incumbent will need both Technological and Creative skills in order to develop the curriculum. The department will be looking for someone with knowledge and experience in instructional design and the development of online educational materials in Adobe Captivate or similar software.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in instructional design, education or related degree with minimum of two years of experience developing online educational modules.
Proficient skills in multimedia and instructional course software.
Ability to understand and interpret educational needs and to develop effective instructional media solutions.
Knowledge of instructional systems development (ISD) models, applications, and best practices.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
High level of proficiency in Adobe Captivate (or similar software); Experience with PeopleSoft, in higher education and/or research administration is a plus.
