Job Summary:

The Research Technician will work in a dynamic neurophysiological lab starting summer of 2018. Research focuses on the neural basis of motor control and learning http://pondside.uchicago.edu/oba/faculty/Hatsopoulos/lab/.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain animal health records and protocol forms
  • Monitor animal health, surgery preparation and assistance
  • Assist in training of nonhuman primates for behavioral tasks,
  • Order lab supplies
  • Perform various other duties as necessary for the functioning of the laboratory

Additional Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Experience:
  • Minimum of one-year relevant research experience required
  • Experience with primate handling preferred


Technical Knowledge or Skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
