Elmhurst College invites applications for a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and  Biochemistry with preferred background in Organic, Medicinal or Biochemistry. Main teaching responsibilities include introductory courses such as general education courses, general chemistry for science majors, general organic and biochemistry for pre-nursing majors; ideal candidate will also be capable of teaching majors-level organic and biochemistry labs and lectures as needed.   Development of an upper-level elective course in area of expertise may be possible.  Evidence of outstanding teaching or teaching potential is essential. The teaching load is eight course credits per year with lectures counting as 1.0 course credits and labs counting as 0.5 course credits each. Candidates should have a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body. A masters degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required, Ph.D. is preferred.
