Position Summary:
Campus Recreations and Intramurals. The CRI Operations Specialist serves a member of CRI's Fitness Lead Team. The position requires work nights and on weekends.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains group fitness classes.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and evaluates group fitness instructors.
  • Coordinates fitness assessments, fitness studio operation and supervises, nutrition education and any specialized fitness programs.
  • Creates and enforces polices and process as related to the program and facilities.
  • Manages the massage therapy program.

    Bachelor’s Degree; CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport Management

    Preferred Experience::
    Experience teaching and leading group fitness classes; fitness (personal training and/or group exercise) certification; staff management experience; experience supervising and/or programming group exercise programs; experience developing, organizing, and implementing special event programming; experience working in a university setting; experience leading a massage therapy service.

    Salary Range: $36,903 - $46,116
