Assistant (Associate) Professor of Education, Special Education
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The School of Education at Gordon State College is seeking applications for an Assistant, Associate Professor in the area of K-12 special education (Kindergarten through the 12th grade) with expertise in special education general, or intensive behavioral interventions. This position is a tenure-track position and is scheduled to begin in August of 2018.
We seek a candidate who has experience at the K-12 or college level working with students who are identified as having special needs. Experience working in Georgia and familiarity with the Georgia standards of Excellence is a plus.
10-month, tenure track

An advanced degree in Special Education or a related field. Candidate must have 18 graduate credits in special education.
A record of working with special needs students.
Experience in teaching undergraduate courses.
Experience collaborating with local school districts and faculty on student needs.
