Reporting to the Registrar, the Program Director II- Admissions supports college admissions, enrollment, and retention efforts and is critical to the success of the College. This position has direct oversight of the Admissions Office and is a core member of the One-Stop service team. The Program Director of Admission provides supervision of daily operations and admissions/enrollment staff to include training and performance management. The Program Director of Admissions serves as the primary point of contact in supporting the on-boarding of new students. This position will participate in strategic planning, developing, evaluating, and managing the college admissions, registration systems and some student records systems.

The Program Director II of Admissions will recommend solutions to complex administrative problems, modifying systems, policies, and procedures to meet needs, and assessing processes and services on a regular basis. This position provides interpretation of college policy as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Collaboration with other departments is central to this role, with a focus on developing, implementing and coordinating college enrollment activities. The Program Director of Admissions is a highly relational position and collaborates closely with the Registrar's Office, the College Recruitment team, Student Financial Aid Office, the Academic Advising Center, and Impact Programs.

The Admissions Office serves as the primary point of contact for the following services:
1) Advise prospective and current students about enrollment procedures, degree programs and courses offered each term;
2) Admit, register, add, drop, and withdraw students for classes and resolve conflicts that may occur during this process;
3) Develop, update, secure, and maintain accurate student records;
4) Report and release accurate student information in accordance with FERPA guidelines;
5) Assess need for services and either refer out or schedule accordingly;
6) Work with student services management to proactively address student concerns and issues with the enrollment process;
7) Tuition Classification, Transfer Credit Evaluation, Academic Advising, Check-In;
8) Provide admissions services to international students.

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities:
1) Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to A&R staff.
2) Maintain the integrity of the AR&R systems/student databases through continuous training, security procedures, auditing, testing, and supervision.
3) Provide guidance to staff for quality, student-centered service and engage in continuous quality enhancements.
4) Serve as campus resource concerning the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and ensure staff can analyze third party requests in order to comply with FERPA laws regarding release of confidential information.
5) Ensure DSO (SEVIS and International Admissions) receives training and support to be knowledgeable about SEVIS and provide admissions services.
6) Ensure procedures for WUE, Colorado State Tuition Classification and Asset are understood by A&R team and well represented on the Aims website.
7) Ensure the website remains updated related to transfer and graduation.
8) Serve on various committees (i.e. Academic Standards, Curriculum Committee, Student Tuition Appeals Committee, Enrollment Issues Task Force, etc.) as member and/or resource person.
9) Serve as Banner data custodian (approve or deny access to SIS, "power user" with access to and knowledge of all major functions and procedures, make decisions on appropriate use).
10) Aid in the setup, initial testing, implementation, and continued testing of upgrades of college technical initiatives and projects such as course online application for admission, Ellucian Recruit, Banner 9.
11) Write and run reports and processes (using such tools as ARGOS, MS Access/Excel, CRM). Assist with short and long-term planning by providing written reports on traffic patterns/student enrollments, student requests for courses/services that are not provided, training needs for staff, and course schedule deficiencies or time conflicts.
12) Implement, test, update and maintain records in Recruit CRM. Input and retrieve information from integrated databases (Banner and Recruit CRM, etc.).
13) Assess processes on a regular basis for efficiency, accuracy and friendliness of service to students. Recommend solutions. Guide staff to make changes as needed and have staff maintain updated documentation.
14) Coordinate with other programs, departments, divisions and campuses for training, adherence to policies, practices and procedures, problem resolution, and enrollment management.
15) This position collaborates with other departments to develop, implement and coordinate college enrollment activities. Work involves a team relationship with the Recruitment team, Registrar, Financial Aid, Advising and Impact Programs.
16) Revise and create enrollment checklists appropriate to incoming student needs and the needs of the programs the student is applying to as well as characteristics of the student including, but not limited to, transfer, concurrent, international, etc. Consult with other departments as needed.
17) Oversee tuition classification practices and be accountable to state auditors for residency determination. Serve as the campus resource and authority on residency.
18) Review residency appeals and emancipation petitions that go beyond the clearest guidelines. Respond to student requests in a timely manner. Interpret state statutes and work to maintain consistency across the department for residency interpretation. Belong to the state residency list-serve and use this as additional guidance and serve as a resource to colleagues in the state.
19) Perform other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis and hold a valid driver's license.

Bachelor's degree in related field, plus three (3) years of experience in educational administrative programs or equivalent related field combination of education and/or experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience in education administrative setting or one 1 year experience in supervision in a general service office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal Characteristics and Experience:
Master's degree in student affairs, counseling, or higher education administration, or closely related field; two years experience in Admissions Advising; one (plus) years supervision.

8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday, with some weekends and evenings as required
