Reporting to the Director of Career and Professional Development, the Coordinator provides individual rsum/cover letter critiques to aid in student career development; assists students with job and internship opportunities; develops and presents career development classroom presentations; and assists in creating, implementing, and executing diverse, professional, and innovative learning experiences to enhance student career development.

Job Summary:

The Career Services Coordinator, under general supervision, coordinates program efforts to promote full use of career services by undergraduate students at each campus. Enhances outreach and communication efforts to student groups on campus and employers in the community by coordinating advertising programs.


45% - Critiques rsums and cover letters and performs mock interviews. Interprets personality assessments (such as Strong Interest Inventory) and provides individual career coaching sessions to students. Partner with Enrollment Management and Advising to support students in identifying major selection. Supports students in internship, job, and career goal acquisition. Assists students with job search and help maintain a job search database.

20% - Develops and presents career development presentations/workshops. Partner with faculty and staff for class presentations and workshops.

15 % - Assists with the development of creative initiatives for marketing and promoting

of Career and Professional Development to community, faculty, and students. Maintain office's social media presence.

10% - Assists in creating, implementing, and executing diverse, professional, and

innovative learning experiences to enhance career development.

5% - Assists with program evaluation and departmental assessments. Supports the general administrative functions of Career and Professional Development such as data collection, analysis, and evaluating the effectiveness of office services and programming.

5% - Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three years of related experience.

Must have demonstrated experience in the successful completion of multiple projects and responsibilities.

Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Must have experience working independently and with diverse student populations.

Must display a team-oriented approach.

Must possess exceptional social interaction skills and positive attitude.

Must be professional in all aspects of the position including professional dress and appearance, demeanor, and attitude. Consistently display the highest levels of integrity.

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and work flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

A master's degree in higher education administration, social work, counseling, or related field.
Strong Interest Inventory certified
Experience working with military and adult student populations

Minimum Salary: $34,686

Hours: Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm; occasional evenings and weekends.
