The Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice (BACJ) and the Masters in Criminal Justice (MCJ) programs in the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver are seeking a full-time Instructor to teach both bachelor's and master's level students in criminology and criminal justice courses. The position begins in August 2018 (a 9 month academic position).
We are particularly interested in candidates that can teach introductory classes, classes related to CJ and homeland security, and classes in corrections and courts.
Experience teaching online is preferred and willingness to teach online is required. The expected full-time teaching load is seven courses over the academic year (summer teaching may be available as a separate contract at additional compensation), in addition to active involvement as a second reader for capstone client projects.
The position requires a terminal degree in the field (PhD, JD, or equivalent), and the ability & experience to teach a range of CJ classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates will have enthusiasm for the subject, proven teaching effectiveness, organization, professionalism, collegiality, & a passion for helping students learn and succeed.
Salary and Benefits:
