Job Summary: The Department of Finance in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer. The starting date is August 1, 2018. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications. Job Qualifications: Qualified candidates will either hold a Ph.D. in finance or a related field, or be a terminal ABD candidate in finance or a related field with ten or more years of business experience in investments, capital markets, or related areas. Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication skills and the potential for excellent teaching. Candidates lacking a terminal degree must document exceptional accomplishments in finance or a related area and be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire. The position is renewable based on performance and promotion to Senior Lecturer is possible after six years of service. A successful candidate must be able to teach at the undergraduate and MBA levels. The teaching load is eight 3-credit hour classes per academic year. The position is a non-research teaching position, with expected participation in service activities appropriate to the rank.
