Position: Supervisor of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems
(Assistant Supervisor 3, Facilities)
Salary Range: P22 $53,910.34 - $76,393.08
Location: FCM- Maintenance Services
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, performs duties necessary to operate and maintain the heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems along with the building automation systems (BAS) that controls the HVAC systems in order to provide a comfortable environment in classrooms, residence halls, laboratories and offices on campus; performs normal supervisory functions. You will be required to complete duties to maintain the HVAC systems.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Directly Supervises employees engaged in simple and/or complex steam, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC piping, HVAC pumps, BMS systems, sheet metal, and other work. Assists in assigning and instructing other employees working in other types of maintenance work.
Developing, assigning and adjusting work methods and procedures to optimize BAS applications. Identifying flaws or errors in building automation programs and implementing solutions. Managing BAS service contracts and contractor staff.
Assisting in the preparation of annual capital and operations budgets. Plans work programs and working procedures and when these are approved, develops appropriate schedules, and methods.
Schedules and coordinates the flow of materials with the assignments of maintenance personnel so that the order of work and job progress are properly maintained.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience, at the foreman level or above, in the maintenance and repair of buildings, and grounds which shall have included the preparation of cost estimates.
A minimum of five years of experience in controls/building automation systems, and HVAC systems.
KNOWLEDGES AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of developing and maintaining work programs for employees performing plumbing, steam fitting, refrigeration, electrical, and other types of building maintenance, and repair work. Knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems. Ability to interpret blueprint and specifications.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Working knowledge of BMS and CMMS.
Must have ability to access areas that are physically restrictive (building mechanical rooms) for routine and investigative field checks and surveys.
