Job Purpose
Towson University, a comprehensive university in the greater Baltimore region, seeks an experienced recruitment professional to direct recruitment initiatives for its 70+ graduate programs. Towson University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Recruitment Coordinator to direct recruitment initiatives for all graduate programs: develop the Office of Graduate Studies recruitment plan in collaboration with the Deans, the Graduate Studies Committee, University Admissions, and graduate program directors; to establish recruitment strategies for diverse populations of students and enrollment goals for multiple programs; plan and implement recruiting strategies; prioritize recruitment goals; use data to assess and manage the recruitment process; and to achieve goals for inquiries, completed applications, acceptances, and enrollments.

Description
The recruitment coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing recruiting strategies, prioritizing recruitment goals and using data to assess and manage the recruitment process to achieve goals for inquiries, completed applications, acceptances, and enrollments. This is a highly visible position responsible for increasing awareness and building enthusiasm for TU's graduate programs through student recruitment initiatives, outreach and communication, and specialized events. The recruitment coordinator serves as a first point of contact to prospective students communicating the university's mission, academic and co-curricular programs, and other relevant information via multi modalities (phone, email, social media, CRM) throughout the recruitment process. The coordinator will develop partnerships with graduate program directors, undergraduate institutions, and corporate/community/professional organizations to develop and participate in recruitment initiatives for diverse populations of potential students. The coordinator will work cooperatively with campus partners including University Marketing and University Admissions to develop and disseminate online and print materials that advertise the quality of and opportunities for graduate education that are steeped within a value of respect for diversity and inclusiveness at Towson University. The recruitment coordinator will effectively develop and utilize recruitment strategies; prioritize recruitment goals and complete projects as changing strategies dictate; and effectively use data to assess strategy and priorities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and some graduate education in related field such as higher education, adult education, business, marketing, or communications; master's degree preferred. The successful candidate must present at least three years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment; and demonstrate excellent communications, strong interpersonal and networking abilities, creative problem-solving talent, and effective time management. Preference is for candidate with prior experience in professional and graduate program admissions, knowledge of the Baltimore metropolitan marketplace, and familiarity with the demand for graduate and professional programs in the fields that TU offers. The position requires some evening and weekend work and occasional travel, as events and recruiting opportunities arise. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
