Assistant Director for Zicklin Undergraduate Programs

The ZickIin School of Business at Baruch College is one of the largest school of business accredited by the American Association of Colleges and School of Business (AACSB). There are currently some 15,000 undergraduate students pursing Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in seven academic departments: Accounting, Economics/Finance, Law, Management, Marketing and International Business, Real Estate and Statistics/CIS. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Undergraduate Programs. The Assistant Director will assist the Director to run day-to-day operations for the Office of Zicklin Undergraduate Programs. Advise students with academic issues and problems; provide students with registration information; identify at-risk population in Zicklin majors; and advise students who do not meet Zicklin Admissions criteria.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with management of day-to-day operations and attend college-wide committee, events, and activities as appropriate.
- Manage communications, updates and announcements relevant to advisement/information related activities.
- Assist the Director of Undergraduate Programs on the ongoing development and assessment of initiatives to build student success.
- Identify at-risk populations in Zicklin majors, particularly accounting and finance; schedule and conduct ongoing individual counseling for students at risk.
- Advise students who do not meet major requirements and Zicklin Admissions criteria and develop student-friendly systems that will support students in making sound decisions as they progress through the Zicklin School.
- Manage and organize Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony and Zicklin Orientations.
- Assist in processing program plan change requests.
- Provide information regarding College policy, Zicklin admissions eligibility, and major offerings.
- Respond to inquiries on behalf of the Zicklin Undergraduate Programs.

- Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience required
- Master's degree in counseling and four years' related experience preferred; other related master"s degrees can be considered
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
- Strong technical skills including intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and work accurately in fast-paced environment with short-around deadlines and manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously
