Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
To provide enterprise-wide hardware and technical support to the Lenel OnGuard Electronic Access Control and Video Management System. Coordinates with construction of new facilities and retro-fit of old facilities for card reader and video surveillance operation in order to secure campus buildings and structures. Performs or oversees ne installation, identifies problems with existing and applies innovative solutions. responsible for troubleshooting and testing procedures. Maintains records for new installations; repair work; and inventories.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Associate’s degree in electronics; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position: Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Knowledge of computer equipment and peripherals, electronic door hardware, blueprint reading, working knowledge of electronic components
Ability to communicate effectively with users
Establish and maintain effective relationships with computer support representatives, telecommunications personnel, Physical Plant personnel, contractors, Facilities, and Construction Services personnel
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Experience with electronic systems for ordering and tracking parts and equipment for inventory and assets
Recruitment Range: $40,032 - $45,500
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 68
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
