The department of Romance, German, and Slavic Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University invites applications for two full-time renewable, non-tenure accruing appointments at the rank of Teaching Instructor of Spanish to begin as early as August 1, 2018 with an initial three-year appointment. Appointment renewal is contingent on successful performance.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include teaching seven courses per year, plus service to the Language Program and department.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: M.A in Spanish Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Pedagogy, or similar field by date of appointment; demonstrated teaching excellence (student evaluations, classroom observations, other); excellent working (professional) command of English and Spanish (oral and written); experience teaching at the U.S. university level; demonstrated ability to work with task-based and content-based pedagogy; extensive knowledge of instructional technology applied to classroom language pedagogy.Advertised Salary: Salary commensurate with experience Other Benefits: Other Information: Special Instructions to Applicants:
