The Program Coordinator will implement and administer major services, programs and activities in support of a residentially based Learning Community, which offers academic and co-curricular programming to between 700 and 1,200 students. Duties will include: planning and facilitating events and programs; support student leadership; developing service-learning and community service opportunities for students; serving as a liaison between the Learning Community and other University departments and community organizations; assisting with marketing; and supervising work-study students. Co-instruct courses for residents and student leaders within the Learning Community. Provide administrative support for the Learning Community and work with students, faculty, and staff to foster an environment in which students are healthy, engaged, and successful.
The Program Coordinator's goal is to instill respect and foster a sense of community that creates, promotes, and supports an inclusive and socially just residential environment. Students, faculty, and staff are provided opportunities to understand, accept, and appreciate each other through various means including conversations, programming, advocacy, education, support, reflection, and relationship-building.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and one to three years of related experience required. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
