Assistant Professor of Psychology
Duties and Responsibilities The chosen applicant will be required to teach four courses per semester consisting of a variety of lower, middle and upper level psychology courses including, but not limited to, Introductory Psychology, Community Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Personality Theory, and Intervention Techniques. In addition to teaching, the position requires being the academic advisor to approximately 50 students, sponsoring student groups and serving on a variety of institutional, department and program committees.
Minimum Required Education An earned Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited psychology program (APA approval highly desired). ABD will be considered ONLY if the applicant has a defense date scheduled at the time the application is submitted.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications Willing to obtain license.
Type and Amount of Experience Needed College/university teaching experience is required with experience in both face-to-face and online teaching preferred. Research experience and a record of publication is highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications PhD or PsyD in psychology with area of specialization in clinical/counseling or developmental psychology and willingness to obtain state license.
