The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has an opening for a full-time faculty member in the Musculoskeletal Division, at the rank of Assistant to Full Professor, based on qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing division in an energetic department. A robust clinical orthopedic, sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation practices provide a stimulating and varied clinical practice. Innovative teaching resources and research support provide ample opportunity for academic growth. In addition, the University of Colorado School of Medicine is located on the new, state-of-the-art Anschutz Medical Campus in a destination city at the base of the Rocky Mountains with endless opportunity for cultural and outdoor exploration.
Clinical responsibilities include the interpretation of radiographs, CT, MRI and ultrasound performed on state-of-the-art equipment. Expertise performing standard musculoskeletal interventional procedures such as CT-guided biopsy, joint injection/aspiration and spine injections is also required. Advanced skills in image-guided intervention including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, bone tumor ablation and spine injection would complement existing faculty expertise; however is not required. The successful recruit will be required to participate in all aspects of our clinical practice and to excel in one or more of our other primary missions, education, research, and service. The division supports a fellowship and participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences during the week. Active participation in fellow, resident and medical student education is expected. Participation in scholarly activity is required as well.
Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License, ABR Certification, Fellowship Training.
Competency is required in the performance of musculoskeletal radiology
The individual would have a proven interest in clinical research
