Lead Database Engineer
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
General Summary of Responsibilities: Position is responsible for both system administration and staff coordination for the systems operations unit of Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS). This position holds the role of subject matter expert while also providing staff management, leadership, project planning, and training. Position will assist with regular maintenance and security of operating systems, structured programming and problem resolution in a multi-tiered, distributed network environment for enterprise services such as virtualization, enterprise blade solutions, storage area networks, and supporting services. Troubleshoot complex problems and provide support to the university's IT Help Desk. Test, evaluate, and recommend new applications and equipment. Develop and maintain architectural diagrams of unit's computer environment, including project plans, strategy and requirements specifications when appropriate. Develop and maintain documentation for core applications and systems. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. In addition, this also has the primary responsibility for the tuning, installation, maintenance, integration, research, and development for enterprise level computer applications including, Oracle Database Administration, Data Warehousing, SQL Server and supporting applications.
Required Qualifications: Completion of bachelor's degree and 10 years related Student Information Systems or Learning Management Systems experience
