The Statistical Analyst will also assist with designing interfaces for data collection and management, performing data integration, manuscript writing for peer reviewed medical journals, including generating figures and tables, and will support grant development with sample size calculations.
The Statistical Analyst A will use standard SAS and/or Stata to create analytic datasets from clinical trials, health care claims, electronic medical records, and surveys; to construct and standardize analytical variables through data integration and data manipulation; to provide descriptive and analytic reports; and to perform statistical analyses.
The Statistical Analyst B will use advance techniques in SAS, Stat, and/or R to merge datasets and create analyses files from complex databases and will use specialized statistical methods to analyze cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets.

* Create datasets from internal and external data sources for cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses.
* Perform statistical programming and analyses under the guidance of the senior biostatistician. Analyses will include simple data descriptions (e.g., prevalence and incidence of outcomes), correlations, regression modeling (e.g., linear, logistic, cox proportional hazard models, mixed effects models, latent class analysis) and the analyst may need to learn additional statistical or bioinformatics (e.g., multi-omic data analysis) techniques for existing and/or future projects.
* Design, develop, and provide support for database systems for clinical trials and observational studies. Responsibilities include designing and testing new system solutions; designing interfaces for data collection and management; performing data integration; training research staff of various database systems; serving as lead liaison with external technology companies.
