Job description

Duties: The candidate will work in a newly established lab in the Microbiology Department in the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM). Technologies employed include mouse colony maintenance, including genotyping and mouse husbandry, and next-generation sequencing of DNA and RNA. In addition to performing experiments and analyzing data, the applicant will participate in lab meetings, literature research, project design, and general lab duties.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 1 yr to 3 yrs of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A strong interest in immunology and microbiology, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and desire to learn new techniques is required. Prior experience is a research laboratory, work with mouse models and in next-generation sequencing is required.
