Position Summary:

The incumbent manages the Accounts Payable functions for the medical center. Administers and controls the organization's departmental expenses; advises departments on policies and procedures; and supervises staff. Required Qualifications:

A demonstrated commitment to sound financial management, efficiency, and the principled pursuit of established objectives.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to identify complex problems and related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience working with computerized purchasing and accounts payable financial systems

Minimum 5 years' experience managing in an accounts payable environment, preferably in healthcare

Must be able to read, interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to operations, processes to ensure compliance

Must be detail oriented with the ability to analyze data and present results in clear and concise formats

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Skill in analyzing complex accounting, financial, and/or technical data and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Working knowledge of UCI Policies and Procedures related to accounting & purchasing
