Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high traffic customer service position in a university setting.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Experience preparing written correspondence

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a university housing environment.
  • Experience working with Banner, SAP, and housing software.
  • Experience answering multi-line phones

    Job Description:
    Administrative Services (HAS), providing general assistance to the housing assignments coordinator, and serve in a leadership role to manage operations for the Department of Housing and Residential Life (DHRL) office building

    Job Duties:
  • Support the work of the Assistant Director for Housing Administrative Services.
  • Serve as office manager for the DHRL Administration Building.
  • Greet and assist students, parents and the general public.
  • Answer phones, screen and transfer calls, take messages, and refer to other offices as appropriate.
  • Answer departmental email within pre-determined response times.
  • Maintain on-line documentation of important notes and conversations with customers.
  • Create and maintain HAS unit office work schedules, including front reception area.
  • Recruit, hire and train student staff and monitor budget for wages.
  • Provide and manage permissions for access to housing software systems; adding and deleting staff and permission levels.
  • Serve as backup for housing assignments area.
  • Coordinate departmental projects and bulk mailings.
  • Create and maintain office procedure, documents, and manuals.
  • Order office supplies for HAS Unit.
  • Attend professional development events to earn continuing education units
