Staff Research Associate II

Under supervision of Principal Investigator, the incumbent is responsible for characterizing the potential impact of natural food supplements on in vitro and in vivo tumorigenic endpoints. In vitro studies will consist of growing select human cancer lines in multiwall plates containing the selected supplements. Incumbent will be monitoring cell survival and growth parameters. In vivo studies will entail tumor implantation (flank) into recipient transgenic mice either before or after oral gavage (30 days) of selected agents. This includes monitoring tumor growth along with immunologic analysis (blood work) to ascertain the extent that oral supplementation of select natural agents modulated immunologic profiles and/or tumorigenicity.

Salary: Hourly $22.46 - $27.92
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings due to special projects or deadline requirements.
Must be willing to Travel (New York-Brookhaven National Lab).
