Administrative Analyst

The Economics department in the School of Social Sciences at UC Irvine seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to provide assistance to the MSO, Chair, faculty, students, programs and initiatives. As a member of the School of Social Sciences, the incumbent is tasked with upholding and exemplifying excellence in the University's core competencies-- job mastery, goal accomplishment, enterprise contribution and innovation-- while representing the MSO, Chair and Department to the campus. The Economics Department is comprised of 28 senate faculty, 10 non-senate lecturers, 1,890 undergraduate students (second largest group of majors on campus behind Bio Sci) and 95 PhD students (approximately 58 Teaching Assistants per quarter). As Analyst of this highly productive and multidisciplinary department, responsibilities include: financial administration, contract and grant proposal preparation and submission, employment and salary administration, space and facilities management, undergraduate program assistance, back up support for graduate student management and recruitment, and customer service pertaining to daily administrative operations for faculty, staff and students in the Department of Economics.

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - $28.74
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Additional working hours may be required to achieve department goals and objectives. Other duties may be assigned.
