The Bouve College of Health Sciences School of Nursing invites applications from highly-motivated candidates for a full-time, 52-week, benefits eligible, non-tenure track faculty position as an Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor and Director of dual Acute and Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program(s). The Director will provide strategic direction, vision, and leadership for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program(s). This individual holds responsibility for program administrative leadership and management, resource allocation, and program development with consultation from the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs and the Dean of the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities include participation in the development, instruction, and evaluation of the pediatric nurse practitioner courses; academic advising; and assisting with clinical placement of students. The Director will oversee the matters relating to admissions, progression, curriculum and program development, program delivery, benchmarking and evaluation, and program marketing and will assure effective deployment of resources to accomplish the goals and objectives of the program(s). The Director serves as the spokesperson for the program(s) and will be comfortable cultivating collaborations outside of the New England area. This individual will cultivate and develop networks within healthcare leadership that will lead to new collaborations and opportunities for growth and identify potential financial resources such as grants and onsite contracts. The incumbent will fully participate in the School of Nursing and the Bouve College of Health Sciences faculty meetings and serve on faculty committees.

The School of Nursing received a five-year, P20 grant award from NINR to establish a Center for Technology in Support of Self-Management and Health. This Center focuses on supporting nursing research in self-management, addressing an urgent need to help health systems design interventions that will support health aging across the lifespan and reduce disparities in healthcare outcomes among racial and ethnic minority populations and other underserved groups. Qualifications require a degree in nursing and earned doctorate in nursing or related field with national certification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner; proven leadership in the area of adult education, teaching, and leadership experience in a major academic setting; and experience in development of professional networking groups. The candidate should possess effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; evidence of effective entrepreneurial skills; extensive experience working with the healthcare business community and strong imaginative leadership.
