General Statement of Duties
Mount Wachusett Community College is a Community College committed to fostering civic learning and community engagement in its educational offerings. A faculty member's workload shall consist of the following duties: instructional duties and non-instructional duties (i.e. office hours, college service, community service, and professional development).
A Faculty member shall be responsible for such community service and professional development activities as mutually agreed by the President of the College or the President's designee and the faculty member. Consistent with the principles and standards of academic freedom and responsibilities, support the college's mission to infuse service learning and civic engagement into the classroom as applicable.
Teach mathematics courses as assigned by the Division Dean; Participates in student assistance/advisement; Maintains office hours; Participates in college service activities (i.e. college committees, meetings, activities). This position could work at all Mount Wachusett Community College campuses.
Master's degree in subject matter (mathematics) required; mathematics coursework or experience preferred; 3-5 years college teaching experience required. Preference given to prior college teaching Mathematics. Successful candidate will be expected to teach classes ranging from developmental mathematics to differential equations and calculus.
Salary: $44,874.00- $96,666.
Actual Salary will be determined in accordance with the classification system of MCCC/MTA commensurate with education & experience
