The university is currently undergoing considerable change as it implements its Strategic Plan for the Race to Excellence, 2015-2025. An exciting, dynamic, emerging research university, FAU is among the fastest growing universities in the United States. Similarly, the institution has added accelerated pathways to graduate studies, as well as direct admission to the university’s medical school pipelines for outstanding high school students. Federal research expenditures have nearly tripled over the past three years, from $21 million to $57 million. Florida Atlantic University aspires to pursue, with unbridled ambition, its intention of becoming the country’s fastest-improving public research university.
