Assistant Director of Advancement Services

The Assistant Director of Advancement Services will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a program of information management which will enhance the Advancement program and result in increased engagement and philanthropic support for Rhodes. Serves as a resource to the Development Division on database reports and general constituent information. Conducts prospect identification, research and management. Provides briefing documents for the Senior Leadership Team and other staff as needed for individuals, corporations, and foundations. Builds, reviews and executes regular and ad hoc reports, both gift and biographical. Responsible for data information management and integrity to include: batch uploads, data pulls and data transfers. Provides training to staff in appropriate topics. Writes and maintains reference documents related to data management and reporting. Hires, trains, and supervises Advancement Services Student Associate. Must be knowledgeable of other positions in Advancement Services to ensure full support to Development.Bachelor's degree required. Must have excellent computer skills, including the use of word-processing and database management software. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in Windows environment and internet use/searches. Must be willing to work in a team, attentive to detail, accurate, have a pleasant manner and be able to conduct phone inquiries, receptive to requests, able to meet pressure of deadlines, able to perform repetitive tasks without supervision, able to set priorities and organize tasks for efficiency. Knowledge of Banner or Raiser's Edge software in a non-profit/fundraising setting preferred. A working knowledge of accounting procedures.
