Job Description Summary:

The Law School's JD Admissions Office is seeking an Admissions Assistant who will be the first point of contact to interact with students, faculty, and visitors. This position reports to the Director of JD Admissions and will have the following responsibilities:
• Serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors to the Admissions and Financial Aid Office.
• Answers the main admissions line and assists callers with general questions and/or forwards callers to the appropriate staff member.
• Assists with the processing of new applications and related student documents such as transcripts and letters of recommendation.
• Works with the International Students Office to provide the necessary documents to incoming international students.
• Corresponds with prospective students via phone and e-mail.
• Manages incoming and outgoing mail; orders office supplies as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
