Advise UVM students about study, internship and service-learning opportunities abroad. Serve as primary point of contact for students navigating university and government processes related to preparing for study abroad. Organize and facilitate events and programs, liaise with campus and off-site partners, and maintain administrative records.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and one year of full-time experience advising students required. Demonstrated commitment to equal educational access and to diversifying study abroad participation. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of other cultures. Effective interpersonal, public speaking, listening and written communication skills required. Effective analytical, organizational, administrative skills, with a keen attention to detail required.
Experience living, working or studying abroad. Advising experience at the college or university level. Aptitude for learning computer data management and workflow systems. Experience with marketing to traditional college-age populations.
