M.D. or D.O. Degree. Eligibility for New York State license, Board Certified/Eligible in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Fellowship trained, interest in basic or clinical research, interest and experience in supervising undergraduate/graduate/medical students, residents and fellows. Applicants should have an academic focus with interest and commitment to clinical practice, medical education and research. Board Certified in Surgery.
Responsibilities & Requirements
As a member of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team, the faculty member will be responsible for assisting with the continued development of the clinical programs in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the University Hospital. Members of the department have ample opportunity to develop an academic surgical practice and research/education/writing career.
The incumbent will participate in research conferences and grand rounds, as well as other committees and events in the Department of Surgery and contribute analysis and criticism to the research and/or lectures. Candidates will see patients in the outpatient setting and perform surgical procedures. The incumbent will have an active role in teaching and training the plastic surgery residents, as well as general surgery residents and medical students that rotate on the service.
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
