The Anschutz Health and Wellness Center has an opening for a part-time University Staff (unclassified) Dining Services III position.

The Anschutz Health and Wellness Center (AHWC) resides within the School of Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus. AWHC is an interdisciplinary center, becoming the nation's go to source of information and programs related to wellness. Top researchers work side-by-side with clinicians to develop and deliver wellness programs and work with community interventionists to take these programs beyond the walls of the center into communities. The mission of the center is "to transform the lives of individuals and communities through science-based wellness strategies."

Nature of Work

This position will be solely responsible for the production of muffins and other related food items pursuant to the protocol of the State of Slim program to serve current and past participants of the program and other members of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. This position will also be responsible for ordering all needed supplies, tracking all inventory in and out of the kitchen and determining what types of muffins to make based on sales and demand. Collaboration with the Programs team and others in the Center is crucial to develop more business around the production of food items for State of Slim and other programs.

Salary and Benefits

The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a restaurant/bakery setting as a chef or baker.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or similar field.
  • 1+ years' experience with food preparation based on a pre-designed program for diet and/or weight-loss needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
