Job Summary:

This position is involved in all aspects of the teaching and research dairy operation, including but not limited to, training, supervising and assisting with milking and feeding activities, cleaning, handling, and health observations of animals at the facility. It is critical that the employee be adept at following written and oral instructions as directed by management, research, and facility protocols. This position may at times require flexible hours.

The position supervises student shifts. The individual must have the capacity to train and assist students and to provide them with guidance in a consistent professional manner.

Schedule Comment:

Work schedule will vary based on operation need, but standard shifts will be from 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Work schedule will be full-time, 40 hours per week, and will include a rotation of every other weekend.
