Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in a relevant setting required, preferably in sales, marketing, and/or project management.

Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy has a robust experiential education program. Student pharmacists explore pharmacy career paths by completing supervised training at pharmacy sites in the first, second, third, and fourth years of the pharmacy curriculum. Training that occurs in the first, second, and third years of the curriculum is called Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE). Students complete a minimum of 300 IPPE training hours. Training that occurs in the fourth year of the curriculum is called Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). Students complete a minimum of 1440 APPE training hours.

To accommodate the high number of IPPE and APPE training sites needed, students are placed at pharmacies located throughout the state of Wisconsin. To support student-learning experiences outside the Madison area, our goal is to create a housing database. This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining a housing database to support experiential education. This position will require some travel to different locations for the housing initiative. In addition, this position will provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Experiential Education in the School of Pharmacy (SOP), Pharmacy Practice Division. The responsibilities of the position include:
1. Create, implement, and maintain a housing database for student pharmacist learners outside the Madison area
2. Coordination of activities related to the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE)
3. Activities relating to Experiential Education courses and grading
4. Administrative support with office functions
