Requisition Title: Associate Professor - Empirical Industrial Organization - 1800857

The Department of Economics at the University of Toronto St. George campus invites applications for a tenure stream position in Empirical Industrial Organization. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor and will commence September 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Economics, and demonstrated excellence in research and teaching in Empirical Industrial Organization. Excellence in research will be evidenced by a record of sustained contributions and publications in top-ranked field relevant journals, presentations at significant conferences, accolades or awards, strong endorsement by referees of high standing, and an outstanding track-record of externally funded research. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated through teaching accomplishments (including PhD supervision), strong letters of reference, and the teaching dossier (including a teaching statement and teaching evaluations) submitted as part of the application.

The appointment includes undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, and the supervision of doctoral students in the field of Industrial Organization. More broadly, the successful candidate is expected to contribute actively to the intellectual life of the department.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
